Description
Marina di Loano is the result of expansion works which were completed in the early months of 2011. It lies in the heart of West Liguria, a stone’s throw from the historical town centre and one hour away from Genoa and Nizza airports. With depths between 3.50 and 5m m.s.l, it has 827 permanent berths for pleasure crafts and 100 transit berths, as well as a residents’, Coastguard and professional fishing boat fleet for a total of 1,000 berths. Among the services on offer, there is a boatyard for boats of up to 50m in length, 10.50m in width and 500 tons in weight. Tow and launch slipways for trailer units are also available, a rare feature on the Ligurian Riviera.

Lights: 1513.25 - isophase light, 1 second, range 3M, marks the end of the Eastern jetty; 1513.27 – yellow flashing light, 3 seconds, range 2M, marks the beginning of an underwater protection barrier on the Eastern jetty; 1513.3 (E 1171.4) - red flashing light, 3 seconds, range 3M, at the end of the new outer pier (breakwater); 1513.4 (E 1171.5) - green flashing light, 3 seconds, range 3M, at the end of the new inner pier; 1513.44 – green quick light, 1 second, range 3M on the old inner pier. During the day the L-shaped Central Grandi Navi Pier is marked by a red yard, 1.5m high above dock level with a radar-reflective topmark at 3m above sea level. At night time the Pier is marked by a 4-second red light (1s light, 3s darkness, 1M range). Navigation, mooring, transit and all other activities are forbidden within 20m of these signals. At the Southern corner of the bunkering pier, facing the marina mouth, there is a yellow light (2s, 1M range).
