On Monday 15 June, the Circolo Nautico di Loano reopened its Sailing School at full speed. The centre is ready to safely welcome pupils and students and continue its 50-year tradition of training lovers of the sport of sailing and windsurfing, but above all, lovers of the sea and nature.
"We have already received a large number of applications, confirming that the message has been received that sailing is the safest sporting activity we can practise nowadays," say the Circolo Nautico. From a physical point of view, the fact that the sport of sailing, practised in the open air and in a healthy environment like the sea, can help preserve the respiratory system is now well established. Furthermore, sailing, with its disciplines, strongly stimulates the psychological level of its practitioners, developing their sense of responsibility, altruistic behaviour and solidarity".
From Monday onwards and throughout the summer, dozens of girls and boys and adults (why not?) will be able to get to know and learn the fascinating secrets of the wind, sailing and the sea and, if they are passionate about it, begin a course of pre- and competitive sailing.
More good news is on the way, though: the weekend of 27 and 28 June will see the now traditional Vela [Sailing] Day. Two days of open doors for anyone, young and old, who wants to experience the thrill of sailing and windsurfing for free.
The Circolo Nautico will provide its staff of instructors, as well as all its equipment. The club's competitive teams have been in full training since 18 May and are preparing for the resumption of the regattas, the first of which will be organised in Loano on 11 and 12 July. It will be open to the 420 and L'Equipe youth classes and a large number of competitors are already expected to take part.
Once again, the Circolo Nautico di Loano is in the vanguard.
